I have 15 minutes to write this, its my first post on this site. Where to begin? I want to begin I guess with the music journey I’m on and how it began with guitar, pen and paper and has now included many other instruments and computer software.

Since I was a kid, I was always enchanted my the magical power of music. Music has so many dimensions, so many possibilities. It can enthral, empower, heal, soften, deepen and repulse – its as unlimited as humans are in experiencing themselves and others.

I have an Art background and have always been interested in pushing the limits of my art practice into realms that defy the capitalist context we live in – this opens something up, it can pose questions not normally asked. But then you might say – ‘But isn’t that desire for experimentation still underpinned by the capitalist idea of success?’ And yes you’d be probably be right. I believe that a society free of the shackles of success, is a truely free society. In art – perhaps this came close with anonymous movements like the unsigned pottery in the 70’s. We are talking here of something bigger, something beyond our current scope thats hard to imagine, the demise of the ego.

Of-course with the emergence of AI, the question of success through novelty becomes even more of a question.

Anyway perhaps I shouldn’t get ahead of myself. I’m here on a musical journey, playing with sound and voice to reach hearts and minds, maybe thats all that one needs to know.

Or perhaps I just want to experiment with a raw, engaging primal resonance that transcends tradition, the question of hearts and minds then is out of my hands while i simply work.
